IF I LIE Cover Reveal

IF I LIE holds a special place in my heart. It was a difficult book to write, both because of the research it required and the places I had to go inside myself to meet my characters. I wrote a story more complex than I started out to, and it surprised the hell out me. When we began talking covers, I couldn't conceive of a cover that would fit the story. I just knew that if the cover featured a couple holding hands or a girl in a pretty dress, a little piece of me would die. Not because I don't love covers with art like that - I swear I do - but because that wasn't IF I LIE. Somehow, the cover designer - Angela Goddard - managed to capture the emotion in the book. I love this cover so fiercely, and I'm so proud to have my name on it. What do you think?

Here’s the synopsis that will be on my galleys:

______________________________________________________________

A powerful debut novel about the gray space between truth and perception.

Quinn’s done the unthinkable: she kissed a guy who is not Carey, her boyfriend. And she got caught. Being branded a cheater would be bad enough, but Quinn is deemed a traitor, and shunned by all of her friends. Because Carey’s not just any guy—he’s serving in Afghanistan and revered by everyone in their small, military town.

Quinn could clear her name, but that would mean revealing secrets that she’s vowed to keep—secrets that aren’t hers to share. And when Carey goes MIA, Quinn must decide how far she’ll go to protect her boyfriend…and her promise.
