Kathleen Peacock: HEMLOCK

BIO: Kathleen spent most of her teen years crushing on authors, watching anime, and writing really bad short stories about vampires (this isn't false modesty—the stories were pretty awful). She put her writing dreams on hold while attending college, but tripped over them when office life started leaving her with an aversion to blazers and cubicles.

These days, she writes YA urban fantasy and paranormal romance, wears pink chucks, and tries to convince herself that repeated viewings of Being Human is a necessary research activity.

DEBUT: HEMLOCK (Katherine Tegen Books/HarperCollins, Summer 2012)

In a small town under siege by a werewolf virus, Mackenzie Dobson must track down her best friend's killer while trying to choose between the human boy who loves her and the troubled werewolf who saves her life.

5 FICTIONAL FRIENDS FOR THE APOCALYPSE: Kaylee Frye (Firefly), Stu Redman (The Stand), Four (Divergent), Alec (Dark Angel), Selena (28 Days Later)
